DIY Christmas Craft Tutorials

There are just too many great Christmas craft tutorials out there not to share some of them with you. I took a little time and gathered up a mega list of tutorials that really stood out to me. I am a huge fan of country/rustic decor but I love sparkle and shine too especially around the holidays! So I have a mix here.. I am positive you will find something here that will strike your fancy! There are tutorials for ornaments, small decorative trees, wreathes etc.. Some of these crafts (like the rose wreath) were made from reusing/recycling things that would have otherwise been given away or thrown in the trash. I included a couple of kids crafts too. I hope that you enjoy these DIY craft tutorials as much as I enjoyed finding them!

Here are some lovely pink ornaments for your Christmas tree. I love the look of the seed beeds and the satin cord wrapped around them. You could change them up a bit and put just seed beads and make a multi colored pattern with the seed beads. You could also make them more rustic looking and wrap jute around them with a raffia bow on top or what about wrapping them with jute along with a thick stripe in the middle of smaller wooden beads.Decisions.. decisions!

Have any mop and glo on hand? Can you believe that these stunning ornaments are made using a floor cleaner? They start out clear but end up sparkly and beautiful!!

These pretty ornaments are made from old CD's. Of course you can change these up all sorts of ways too..what about decorating with glitter. You could also cover the whole CD with some pretty scrapbook paper or a shiny wrapping paper and then put your bow! What about adding a photo to the center and gluing a circular frame around it making it a picture frame ornament, oh and of course, don't forget your bow!

I love the look of these precious red and denim trees. This is a short and simple tutorial with a little tree template to use. It says to machine stitch these but as small as they are I think it would be no problem to hand stitch and would add even more charm..I am thinking a red stitch would look sweet!

Cute little felt snowmen! This is a Christmas ornament tutorial but I think they would be adorable as a little Christmas pin for your shirt or jacket as well....also wouldn't they be even cuter with some little hats? what do you think?

I love these felted wool roses with the snowflakes! What a clever wreath in such pretty blue colors... It's got that cold and icy look that is perfect for the holidays. So remember to hang on to those old wool sweaters and don't throw them out- you could turn them into something like this...

I recently wrote this hub on DIY fabric flowers which included burlap flowers from Tatertots and Jello. I was checking out other projects on the site I stumbled upon this wreath. You could use fabrics in Christmas colors to layer with the burlap. I am picturing a checked material in greens with this and some sort of buttons for embellishment in the center of the flowers. I love the look of the burlap bow that is at the top of the wreath.

A beautiful burlap tree.. I am impressed with this! This is so whimsy and cute and it seems to be rather easy to create. I am so grateful for these ladies who share these tutorials. This fabric tree has country charm and it doesn't get much easier than tying some strips of fabric around a stick.... I love the gingham check materials and 5 point star on top!

Look at these very cute stacked fabric Christmas trees found at The Small Object. Imagine all the different patterns and colors you can work with to come out with your one of a kind creation! The templates come on PDF which you download and print. The instructions are easy with great illustrations. They are stitched together using a machine but if you don't have one I'm sure you could improvise using a hand stitch or even using a good glue. Click on the link below to make these cuties:

They don't list an actual tutorial on this page but you can tell pretty much by the photo... all you need is some glue, buttons, popsicle sticks, a little bow or embellishment for the top and a string! What a cute kids craft!

These ornaments look like cookies but they are not edible.. however they ARE made from applesauce and cinnamon.  You mix the the two ingredients and it somehow forms into a dough and then you cut your shapes with cookie cutters and bake them! Not only are they decorative but they have a lasting aroma of cinnamon...This is an awesome project to do with the kids. Learn how to make these neat scented ornaments at the link below:
